You are bidding on an exellent Hoyt Compound Hunting Bow. It is a 2006 Trykon, Right Hand, 70# Draw Weight and 28" Draw Length. It has a brace height of 7" and a 33" axle to axle length. It is a dual cam system.
It comes with a Hoyt Trykon six arrow quiver. It is a two piece matching quiver. It is easy to install.
You will be able to adjust the draw weight between 60# and 70# peak weight. You can adjust this weight simply by turning the limb bolts. You should take care in not turning the weight down too much. It may cause severe problems with the bow. After adjusting the weight you will be more confident in your equipment and it will fit your shooting style.
This bow is equipped with the Zephyr Cam & 1/2 system. This cam is a draw length specific cam but very high performance. If the draw length is wrong, fortunately you can have your local Hoyt Pro Shop change cams for your length. You will need a bow press for this change. The cams can also be ordered in 1/2" increments. You can also get new cams with the higher let-off where these cams are only 65%. If you do get new cams you will need to know that each cam has a different number to correspond with the draw length. Your Pro Shop can help get the right cam ordered. It is a simple process and they can make the switch very quickly. You have an option with this cam of how much valley there is and also how hard the back wall feels. There is a draw stop post on the lower cam (see photo's) that you can adjust for 3 places. 1- No post means the softest wall and longest, soft valley. 2- Furthest outside post (current position) gives long valley and hard wall. 3- Innermost hole gives you short valley and hard wall. With any of these positions you should have the same let-off and draw length. The owners manual will also explain this with photos and give you tips to check the timing of the cams. The cams are currently in time and ready.
The brace height of 7" and the axle to axle length of 33" make this bow a very forgiving shooting bow. You will also have as much speed as other top line bows. You will be able to shoot this bow easier and that will help your confidence in your equipment. I do know the IBO speed on this bow is just over 300fps.
You can learn more about the style of cam from the owners manual also. This is a dual cam system so that makes 2 cams that will fire at the same time. This particular cam is called the Zephyer Cam & 1/2. These cams are draw length specific but can be changed. Again the manual can walk you right through how it functions.
The bow is new. It was not shot very much at the store where I purchased it. The screw holes for the bow sights still have the original camo paint on them. No sights have been installed. I do not believe that a stabilizer has been attatched but not certain. Obviously there has been an arrow rest installed. There are no other scratches or dings that I am aware of. You can feel that this is a great value to bid on.
This bow was Hoyt's 75th anniversary bow. With the system of dampeners you will feel very little hand shock and is extremely quiet. There are string shox, riser shox, alpha limb shox, and a newly designed TEC riser. This combination makes the Trykon one of the most fastest and quietest bows on the market.
You will notice from the photos that there is a rest installed if you would like it. If not then I will keep the rest. It is a Stinger rest made by Cavalier. Other than the rest there are no other accessories to go with the bow. There are however string silencers installed. These are small but very imortant to your hunting equipment. You can purchase a bow sight, arrow rest, and quiver at your local Pro Shop or you may choose one from my favorite website at www.redneckarcheryinc.com. Most accessories should fit onto the bow.
You will like the small size grip. It is a red, 1 piece wood grip. It should be a good grip that will not cause you to torque the bow. You will be able to hold the bow loose knowing it will not slip or jump out of your hand. That will also help you to improve your shooting capability.
I do not know what camo pattern is on the bow but it looks really good. You will be able to find other accessories that should be similiar in camo style. That way you can know that you will disapear while you are hunting. I will send the owner's manual with the bow so you can refer to that for any adjustments. You will also receive instruction for string and limb maintance. It will explain the cam on your bow. It also has many tuning tips for getting great arrow flight. You can also see many more helpful tips there.
If you have any more questions you can send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Also if you want any more photo's I can do that as well.
